Useful resources: BeadingDaily
There is a forum where readers of Beading Daily talk beads. The majority of the contributors on the forum are from USA, but that is gradually changing. And then there are loads of patterns, free of charge or $4 a piece. There are galleries for inspiration and how-tos explaining beading techniques and tricks. There are also contests for anyone to participate.
This all sounds like another beading resources site out there. Except this one is well kept, always up to date with new things often enough to be worth checking every once in a while.
If you participate in galleries, they will include the link to your website. Same if you participate in contests, but then there is also a chance to actually win something beadingly nice (like $200 shopping spree).
The most valuable thing in BeadingDaily is their daily newsletter. If you subscribe to it, you will receive a newsletter every working day – Monday to Friday. The newsletter is diverse and compact. They draw your attention to the new projects and topics. Sometimes the newsletter contains tips in it, sometimes it refers to a larger article available online. The most valuable thing for me are their polls. Every once in a while they ask their readers a question (you have to take a poll on their website) and then they share the results in the newsletter. That’s where you can get the most valuable information from! Do the beaders sketch their designs in advance? Do they make a list of what they need before they go bead shop? What beads are problematic? Loads of useful information about your customers gathered and analysed for you.
